Fostoria, Ohio — Five newly constructed affordable homes are now available for purchase in Fostoria, offering individuals and families a unique opportunity to achieve homeownership at an accessible price point.

Located at 1310, 1314, 1318, 1322, and 1326 Walnut Street, these homes were developed by the Seneca County Land Bank with funding support from the Ohio Department of Development’s Welcome Home Ohio program. The initiative is designed to increase access to quality, affordable housing while strengthening neighborhoods and supporting community growth.

The homes are expected to sell between $140,000 and $160,000, with a maximum sale price of $180,000.

Income Eligibility Requirements

To ensure affordability, buyers must meet the following gross household income limits:

  • Household of 1: up to $47,750
  • Household of 2: up to $54,550
  • Household of 3: up to $61,350
  • Household of 4: up to $68,150
  • Household of 5: up to $73,650
  • Household of 6: up to $79,100
  • Household of 7: up to $84,550
  • Household of 8: up to $90,000

Household income includes all adult earners (18+) living in the home, and household size reflects all individuals residing in the property.

Buyer Requirements

In addition to income eligibility, applicants must:

  • Occupy the home as their primary residence for at least five years
  • Agree not to rent out any portion of the property
  • Submit a completed Welcome Home Ohio application packet
  • Provide a valid mortgage pre-approval (minimum loan approval of $100,000)
